In this case Dr. Steward was asked to provide an economic analysis of the lost earnings capacity and legally required benefits suffered by Mr. Austin Prather due to medical complications. He states in his report that it is not possible to determine the value of Mr. Prather’s economic losses. Prior to his injuries Mr. Prather completed two years of college and worked as a tiling contractor and intended to continue that field of work. Mr. Prather had hip replacement surgery and Dr. Steward notes that it is not presently possible to determine the value of the plaintiff’s economic losses or determine how long the losses will continue in the future. He finally states that a vocation expert is to be retained to provide the information needed to calculate economic damages including determining Mr. Prather’s employment eligibility and work life expectancy.
