In this wrongful death case Dr. Dwight Steward was retained to calculate the economic losses the plaintiffs suffered as a result of the death of Mr. Dan Allan.In his report Dr. Steward calculated the total value of the lost household services by multiplying the number of hours Mr. Allen was expected to spend performing each household service by the market value of that service. Dr. Steward calculated the plaintiff’s economic damages including the present day discounted economic value of the lost retirement benefits and household services from the date of his death through his expected remaining life expectancy.
