In this project the plaintiff alleged she was terminated from her position at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) because of her gender. In this case Dr. Steward reviewed CSC’s Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and the analysis of the plaintiff’s statistical expert. In contrast to the plaintiff’s allegations Dr. Steward found no statistical evidence of a bias against females at CSC. Further he found the use of the 80% rule and standard deviation test in CSC’s AAP to be of no use whatsoever in determining if the RIF had a statistically significant impact on females.
