This case focuses on the cessation of the plaintiff’s employment as an adjuster for the Special Investigation Unit of Allstate Insurance Company. The plaintiff Mr. Klecka claims back and front pay wage losses resulting from his termination. Dr. Dwight Steward was retained to perform an analysis of any economic losses related to the termination as well as a labor market analysis. In his report Dr. Steward finds that the plaintiff’s post-termination employment search has been inadequate and that there are job openings and employer demand for individuals with the plaintiff’s skills and experience. His report strongly suggests that if the plaintiff were to perform a sufficiently expansive job search he would likely secure employment that provides him with earnings comparable to his at Allstate. Dr. Steward also noted that the plaintiff has failed to provide sufficient financial information to document back pay losses.
