In this case Dwight Steward Ph.D. was retained to provide an analysis of the economic losses the plaintiff is expected to experience following her termination with Austin Independent School District (AISD). Ms. Lindsay alleges she was wrongfully terminated from AISD and that AISD’s retaliation prevented her being offered a number of positions. In his report Dr. Steward provides two economic damages scenarios the first of which compared the plaintiff’s projected earnings and benefits in her current employment with the earnings she is projected to have earned had she not been terminated by AISD. The plaintiff’s projected earnings had she not been terminated were passed on her actual historical earnings at AISD. In the second scenario Dr. Steward compared her current earnings to her projected earnings had she received a position she claims was denied to her due to retaliation.
