This case consisted of health care workers who alleged the defendant was altering time worked each time an employee clocked in or out, failure to include birthday bonuses into employee’s regular rates of pay for the purposes of calculating overtime compensation. In addition, the defendant failed to provide meal periods before five hours of work, if at all and rest periods every 4 hours. Also failed to accurately recorded and pay for all time worked by employees. In this case Dr. Steward studied thealleged impact of the defendant’s time clock rounding policy.
